  2.           ...WELCOME TO THE EPED TUTORIAL...

  4.  The purpose of the tutorial is to introduce the basic
  5.  concepts of word processing, and to demonstrate the
  6.  functions and commands of EPED, the word processor of
  7.  Epi Info.
  8.  
  9.  The tutorial is presented in five lessons, with each
  10.  one introducing several EPED functions. By reading the
  11.  information and following the instructions on the screen,
  12.  the tutorial will help you to practice and build your word
  13.  processing skills.

  17.  Here are a few tips for using the tutorial:
  18.  
  19.   *Information about EPED will appear on the screen in windows,
  20.    indicating to press <Esc> to proceed to the next screen.
  21.  
  22.   *Instructions for interacting with EPED during the tutorial -
  23.    such as moving the cursor, practicing commands, and typing a
  24.    document - will appear in a single-line prompt window of a
  25.    different color.  After you have completed the interactive
  26.    exercises, pressing <Esc> tells EPED that you are ready to
  27.    proceed with the tutorial.

  29.   *<  > indicates a key on the keyboard.  For example, <Enter>
  30.    refers to the key marked "Enter", <Tab> refers to the key
  31.    marked "Tab", and so on.

  33.   *To BEGIN the tutorial, choose a lesson from the Tutorial Menu
  34.    which will appear on the next screen.

  36.   *To END a lesson at any time, press the <F10> key.
